Joyce Richman and Associates Ltd. was founded in 1982. The firm focuses on helping identify goals and set direction – whether it’s helping an individual grow in a current management position, assisting with a career change, or in support of a corporate performance initiative. We use techniques that run the gamut from coaching sessions and assessment tools to seminars, presentations and team building. Our goal is to help strengthen both individuals and the organizations for which they work.

Joyce Richman, Joyce Richman and Associates Ltd., founded in 1982, specializes in the coaching of university administrators, senior executives, managers, and their employees, assessing client strengths and needs, developing effective leadership and management techniques, enhancing and improving communication skills, advancing and retaining key employees. Joyce works closely with her clients to set measurable goals and facilitates action to achieve desired outcomes. She has extensive experience in the use of interviewing techniques, 360° feedback, and personality assessments.

Joyce’s clients come from a broad spectrum of organizations and disciplines that include higher education, manufacturing, sales, marketing, media, technology, pharmaceuticals, medicine, banking and finance, service, IT, and non-profit sectors.

Joyce is a member of the adjunct faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership based in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is certified to administer a variety of feedback and psychological instruments including Benchmarks®, MBTI®, FIRO-B®, CSI©, CISS®, CPI. In addition to her private practice, Joyce has worked with hundreds of Center clients across the United States and abroad.

Joyce is a weekly guest on Greensboro television and a weekly columnist for The News & Record. She is the author of Roads, Routes and Ruts: A Guidebook to Career Success (1993), in its 3rd printing. A popular lecturer, Richman has conducted seminars and workshops throughout the United States and has consulted in Belgium, Canada, and England.

Richman is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Personnel Consultant, and holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition, Joyce is a graduate of Harvard University’s Program on Negotiation.

Susan Richman is a career coach, professional and personal development consultant and diversity trainer. She works with individuals and teams providing strategies for enhanced communication and effective team building. Susan received her MS from NC A&T State University in Counseling/Human Resources and her BS in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Guilford College. Susan began consulting in 1998, drawing experience from her years as a Human Resources and Diversity Director in the food service industry, and her work in the fields of sales, banking and finance. Susan is a published researcher and trainer in the areas of discrimination, diversity awareness, and violence prevention in the workplace. She has conducted seminars at Wake Forest University, University of NC at Greensboro, and Guilford College. Her professional affiliations include: National Conference for Community and Justice, Chief Diversity Officers Forum, American Counseling Association, and Society for Human Resources Management. Susan serves on the Board of Directors for Employers for Violence Prevention and Peace at Work. Susan specializes in:
